A quiet anchor when you need one most

🧠

Rhythm that grounds you

A steady haptic pulse gives your nervous system something constant to lock onto, slowing your breath and heart rate naturally.

📳

Feel it, don’t hear it

Unlike audio tools, QuietTap works silently through touch, on your wrist or in your hand, wherever you are.

One tap to start

Quick start presets for Calm, Focus, Energise and Sleep. Pick a pace, hit start. No setup required.

Always on your wrist

QuietTap runs natively on Apple Watch. The pulse continues even when the screen goes dark, so nothing interrupts your session.

HOW IT WORKS

The science behind the pulse

🎵

What is QuietTap?

QuietTap is a haptic metronome — it delivers a steady, rhythmic pulse to your wrist or hand at a pace you choose. That rhythm becomes an anchor, something quiet and constant to hold onto when everything else feels uncertain.

🧠

Why rhythm helps

When you’re stressed, anxious, or overwhelmed, your mind tends to race and your body follows. A steady external rhythm gives your nervous system something to synchronise with. Research into rhythmic stimulation shows it can slow breathing, reduce heart rate, and shift the body from a fight-or-flight state toward calm — the same principle behind drumming therapy, breathwork, and EMDR.

Grounding through touch

Holding your phone or wearing your watch while the pulse runs keeps your attention in your body rather than in your thoughts. The sensation of touch is processed in a different part of the brain to worry and rumination — so focusing on the pulse gently interrupts the spiral and brings you back to the present moment.

🕐

When to use it

Before a difficult conversation. In a waiting room. On a crowded commute. During a panic attack. At 3am when sleep won’t come. You don’t need to do anything except feel the beat and breathe. There’s no wrong way to use it.

Start with a BPM close to a resting heart rate — somewhere between 50 and 70 — and a duration of five minutes. Adjust from there to what feels right for you.
